I'm absolutely delighted to have scooped the very prestigious Forward Ladies "Home-Based Business Woman of the Year 2011" award, at last week's lavish ceremony, which took place at The Midland Hotel, Manchester. 

The awards were a celebration of ladies in business, and there were so many inspirational and talented women in attendance, running and working in such a diverse range of industries. I was honoured to be a part of such a wonderful occasion, and my congratulations go out to all nominees, finalists and winners!

2010 Mum And Working Awards

We were a prize sponsor at yesterday's Mum and Working Awards. We sponsored the 'self-employed parent of the year', and have donated an hour a month of our time, for 12 months, to the very worthy winner: Amanda Farren of Ella Announcements. We're going to enjoy following Amanda's journey, and playing a small part in helping her to achieve a better work/life balance.

Our Radio Debut: Red Shift Radio

We've had a really exciting week so far. On Monday, Lisa Forbes made her radio debut as a guest on the 'Late Late Breakfast Show' for local community station Red Shift Radio. Her appearance went down very well, generating lots of texts, tweets and emails; so much so, she's been invited back on air for a special 'Mumpreneurs' show on 21st December 10am - 12pm.
